A Legal Practice Built on Clarity and Diligence
Based in central Kuala Lumpur, Verdictum focuses on three areas where clear legal guidance makes a genuine difference: company formation, debt recovery, and commercial dispute resolution.
Back to HomeHow Verdictum Came to Be
Verdictum was established in 2011 with a straightforward premise: that businesses and individuals dealing with legal matters should receive guidance that is clear, proportionate, and organised. Too often, clients come to us after spending months in uncertainty simply because the advice they received was either unclear or mismatched to the scale of their situation.
Our practice operates from offices in central Kuala Lumpur and serves clients throughout Peninsular Malaysia. We have kept our focus narrow by design, concentrating on three areas where we believe structured legal support makes the most tangible difference: helping new businesses set up correctly from the start, assisting those seeking to recover legitimate debts through proper channels, and facilitating commercial dispute resolution through mediation rather than prolonged litigation.
Over thirteen years, this approach has allowed us to develop genuine depth in each service area rather than spreading resources thinly across a broad practice. Clients who work with us tend to come back — and to refer others — not because of any particular marketing effort but because the work gets done properly and the communication stays honest.
Our Mission
To make competent legal counsel accessible to businesses and individuals who need it most — not through simplified advice, but through clear communication and a genuine effort to match the legal response to the actual situation.
Our Values
- Clarity over complexity in every communication
- Proportionate advice — matching the response to the need
- Honesty about timelines, costs, and realistic outcomes
- Respect for confidentiality at every stage of engagement

Standards & Protocols
The standards that govern how we work with clients and handle their matters.
Bar Council Regulation
All advocates and solicitors at Verdictum are members of the Malaysian Bar in good standing. Our practice complies with the Legal Profession Act 1976 and all relevant Bar Council practice directions.
Client Confidentiality
Solicitor-client privilege is maintained at all times. Client information, correspondence, and case details are handled under strict confidentiality protocols and are not disclosed without written instruction.
Professional Indemnity
Verdictum maintains full professional indemnity insurance as required under the Legal Profession (Practice and Etiquette) Rules. Clients can engage us with confidence that appropriate coverage is in place.
Data Protection
We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia). Client data is collected only as necessary, stored securely, and never shared with third parties outside of specific case requirements.
Transparent Fee Structure
Fees are disclosed in writing before work commences. Disbursements are charged at actual cost. Any change in scope that affects fees is discussed and agreed upon before it is incurred.
Continuing Legal Education
Our lawyers participate in regular continuing professional development programmes, including Bar Council-accredited courses, to remain current with legislative developments and evolving practice standards.
Legal Expertise in Commercial and Civil Matters, Kuala Lumpur
Verdictum serves businesses at various stages — from newly registered Sdn Bhds working through their post-incorporation compliance to established firms dealing with a difficult creditor situation. The common thread across every engagement is a preference for structured, methodical work over reactive fire-fighting.
In commercial mediation, Verdictum acts as a neutral facilitator rather than an advocate. This distinction matters: parties who come to mediation with the expectation of a fair process — rather than a second litigation — tend to reach workable agreements more often. Our experience across business-to-business, landlord-tenant, and partnership disputes informs how sessions are structured and how agreements are drafted to reduce the likelihood of future disagreement.
For businesses looking to recover outstanding debts, the initial consultation focuses on understanding the documentation, the amounts involved, and the nature of the relationship with the debtor. This allows the practice to recommend an approach that fits the circumstances rather than applying a standard template.
